Camp Straight Street Day Camp

Cherrydale Baptist Church Children’s Ministries announces a new Day Camp for kids. Eight great weeks began just after Independence Day and run through August. We’re now accepting camper applications. You can click below for everything you need. Check back every evening for pictures of the day’s activities!

We are currently re-registering all of the kids who attend classes on the third floor...older threes through sixth grade. Forms will be distributed at church each Sunday, or better yet you can do it online.. Please complete a form for each child.

Straight Street: a Place for Kids

“Straight Street” is the name for Cherrydale’s ministry to kids in grades 1-6. Our choir is now the “Straight Street Singers,” and this is your new home on the web: “The Straight Street Network”. To find out why, click the “What is Straight Street” link on the left. And check in every day. New things will show up here all the time.

Kids Church at Cherrydale

Each Sunday Pastor Herb Owen leads a Kids Church Worship Service for third through sixth graders at the 11:30am service. The service includes worship songs, announcements, and a Bible sermon/lesson on the level of the kids. Plus, it’s lots of fun. Each Sunday we distribute Daily News containing the morning lesson in a form you can take home. Currently we are teaching the book of Hebrews, following the schedule Pastor King is preaching to the adults. Here is last Sunday’s copy.

· The kids from Kids Church went to the adult service to hear Pastor Herb Owen preach recently to the adults. Listen to the sermon, “Faith for the Journey”

Learn the Songs We Sing

We sing lots of great songs on Straight Street. These songs give us a great time together and teach us a lot about what it’s like to be God’s child. We’ve made music videos to sing with. You can also enjoy them at home. Check back, as we’re adding more each week.

From time to time we get requests from other churches to use the resources they find on this website. You may use anything you find here at your church with our blessings and prayers.
